CONGRATULATIONS to Miss Barry's Bakery, Melissa Maunsell, who was announced in Tralee on Tuesday morning, 24th of February. Melissa now goes forward to the Grand Final in Fabric Nite club on Friday 13th of March.

Tickets for this event are available now from Fabric Tralee and are priced at 10 including fashion show, pageant and the opportunity to meet our celebrity judges Andrea Roche, Barry Egan and Liz Greehy.

Show starts at 8.30pm.

The Miss Universe Kerry 2009 Grand Final, will now be held on FRIDAY 13TH OF MARCH in Fabric Tralee, County Kerry. Due to a scheduling conflict, (our head judge, the beautiful Andrea Roche, needed to present the VIP Style Award in Dublin), we had to postpone for one week. Everyone involved in the final - our beautiful finalists, valued venues, fabulous judges, super sponsors and everyone who has already called, emailed and texted us to book tickets for the night of nights - will be contacted individually over the next 2 days to advise of new date.

The format of the Pageant finale remains the same. Sensational fashion show, on stage interviews with our finalists PLUS glamour, style, celebrity and more . . . in FABRIC. Our MC for the event, the very well known Brian Hurley, (whose illustratious career in both radio and print to date has many loyal fans), promise revealing and fun interviews.

So Lucky for Some - and one beautiful lady in particular. Put Friday 13th of March into your Diary now for the Miss Universe Kerry Grande Final 2009.

Upfront Models wowed at inaugural Kerry Wedding Show. Thank you Sophie, Sarah, Livia, Jessica, Andrea, Carol, Marion, Finn, Tim, Laura (our amazing, nationally acclaimed dancer), Zoe (our beautiful flower girl) and our amazing Tenor Cormac O Daly - who seranded and enchanted us at the end of each show.

Our models headlined two fashion shows, profiling top Kerry bridal and wedding boutiques (including Finesse, The Bridal Gallery, House of Glamour, Kates Couture, Chic Boutique , Hannons of Castleisland, Pamela Scott, Brian James and Caroline Atelier.).

Many thanks to David O Connor, from the AV Team; Raymond Stack (sound guru and DJ); Pat O Neill, one of Ireland's top celebrity stylists (now at the Style Suite at the Brehon), Clair McEvoy (freelance make up artist and Lancome at Sam McCauleys) and Kathryn O Neill (head of make up artistry for Daniel Sandler Ireland).

Well done to David O Donoghue for the amazing programme.

Special thanks to Radio Kerry DJ Francis Jones - who as always professionally mc'ed the event to perfection! and, of course, to our own Louise James who produced the show and Lisa Dennehy who photographed (and co ordinated, multi tasking as always) - and to our fabulous new addition to the wardrobe team (who remain composed throughout) Sabina.

Lastly, congratulations to the Event Organisers, Radio Kerry and to the forever hard working, team leader, head of sales and marketing, Melanie O Sullivan.

Gorgeous Irene O Neill was selected as Miss Hillgrove 2009 at the grand finale in the club on Friday night.

Irene will now go forward to the grand final in Fabric. Good Luck.

Miss Hillgrove 2009 will be selected tonight in the Hillgrove nite club, Dingle, Co. Kerry. Louise James from Upfront Models will attend and judge at the final selection. Images will be published on line early next week.

Miss Hillgrove will join 20 other beautiful finalists to compete for the title Miss Universe Kerry in Fabric on Friday 6th of March. Tickets for this event, which includes a fashion show, are priced at 10 euro and are available now from Fabric. The evening commences at 8.30pm with Miss Universe Kerry being crowned at approx 11pm.

Tomorrow, models and performers from Upfront will headline at the Kerry Wedding Show in the INEC, Killarney. Images will be available on line Monday.

After a very glamorous fashion show and fabulous nite out in one of Kerrys most stylish bars, judges Louise James (Upfront Models), Norma O Donoghue (milliner and boutique owner) and fashion designer, Karyn Moriarty chose Aifric Rice as Miss Kube.

Aifric will go forward to the final of Miss Universe Kerry in Club Fabric Tralee on the 6th of March. Everyone is welcome to come along and enjoy a nite of fashion and fun in the company of top celebrities Andrea Roche, Barry Egan and Liz Greehy as well as our 20 gorgeous finalists. Miss Kube will be selected tonight in the Kube Bar Killarney! The winner will then go forward to the grand final of Miss Universe Kerry in Club Fabric on the 6th of March.

Louise James, Upfront Models will attend final judging along with top designer Karyn Moriarty and boutique owner Norma O Donoghue. As well as selecting Miss Kube, there will also be a fashion show profiling what to wear for Spring / Summer 09 from top Killarney boutiques.

KERRY’S FIRST WEDDING SHOW TO EXHIBIT GREAT FINESSE
The Kerry Wedding Show, the county’s first independent wedding exhibition, will take place on Saturday February 21st at the INEC, Killarney. The show opens at 12 noon and runs until 6pm with fashion shows at 2pm and 4pm produced by Tralee agency Upfront Model Management

Admission to the Kerry Wedding Show is €10 per person. Visitors to the show can look forward to some great prizes on the day. The top prize on offer at the show will be a wedding dress courtesy of Finesse Bridal Wear Listowel. Adding some spice to the proceedings there will also be prizes for the Best Dressed Couple and the Best Dressed Exhibitor’s stand on the day!

Exhibitors include Hotels, Car Hire, Wedding Décor, Bridal Wear, Boutiques, Photography, DVD production, Stag & Hen party organisers and Menswear. The fashion shows will feature bridal wear from Finesse, Listowel, Kate’s Couture, Tralee, dress designers Caroline Matthews, Sharon Gregory and Karyn Moriarty. Mother of the Bride and guest wear exhibitors will include Hannons of Castleisland, Pamela Scott, Tralee, Chic Boutique and Tae Lane of Listowel with menswear by Brian James of Killarney.

COUNTY WIDE HEATS FINISH THIS MONTH AND OTHER FINALISTS ARE NOMINATED BY BUSINESSES AROUND KERRY

The countdown continues. . .
The grand final of Miss Universe Kerry will be held in Club Fabric Tralee on Friday 6th of March 2009. Judged by top model Andrea Roche; Barry Egan, Sunday Independent and Liz Greehy, stylebible.ie., the following finalists are now selected from the heats. MIss Blasket is now Rachel Gleasure; Ballybunion, Miss Pulse is now Jade Arthur; Caherciveen and Miss Fabric is Noelle O’Riiordan; Killorglin . Miss Hillgrove will be selected in The Hillgrove on February 20th and Miiss Kube will be selected in the Kube on February 15th.

Businesses around the county have also put forward their own candidates. Envy Boutique, Killarney are sponsoring Kerri O’Connor; Killarney, Barry’s Bakery, Tralee are sponsoring Shauna O’Connell; Caherciveen, Christmas in Killarney is sponsoring Caoimhe Clifton; Killarney, and The Glen Bar are sponsoring Aoife O’Neill; Tralee. The grand selection night will feature a full scale fashion show profiling Kerry’s leading boutiques and retail stores, and, of course, an opportunity to meet and greet each of the finalists and party the evening away with the newly crowned Miss Universe Kerry 2009..
