Tips on how to sparkle for the party season. Afternoon course. EUR 35 per person. Suitable for all age groups.

Teen Beauty Boot Camp: Saturday 12th of December
Learn the basics of good deportment, posture, skincare and make up. Course also includes etiquette and personal styling. Cost EUR 50 per person. Aimed at 13 - 19 year olds.


New Year, New You - Style Course: Saturday 16th of January, 2010.
This day concentrates on identifying your own style today and practical tips on how to dress to enhance your figure at every age. As we age, our shape changes and what suited us at 20, will not flatter us at 40! Skin care and make up is also covered in the afternoon. The day also includes current fashion trends and how to stay in vogue on a budget. To allow for interaction course is limited to 20. Vouchers can be organised as Christmas Gifts and are attractively packaged. Cost EUR 70 per person.

All courses are given by professionals working in the beauty and fashion industry.

Upfront’s Teen Beauty Boot Camp (13 - 18 year olds) will be held once again on Monday 26th of October in the Grand Hotel, Malahide, County Dublin. Cost 50 euro per student. Course covers deportment, personal style, make up, skincare, inter personal skills, basic presentation techniques and more. Upfront will also host a Style Masterclass (all ages) on Wednesday 28th of October in Malahide, Dublin. Cost 50 euro per person. If you miss the classes over the mid term break, Upfront will also be hosting Teen Beauty Classes in Malahide over the Christmas holidays.

Lastly bookings are also being taken for GLITZ AND GLAM afternoon style class, on Sunday 15th of November in the Grand Hotel, Malahide. Featuring how to achieve the perfect party head to toe look, within a budget.

Upfront’s courses are hosted by professionals working within the industry including top make up artists Kathryn O Neill (head of make up artistry Daniel Sandler Ireland) and Joanne James; former model Louise James and top communications consultant and model agency owner, Orla Diffily. All students receive a Certificate of Completion.

KFW award winning milliner, Kathleen McAuliffe, was featured in this Saturdays prestigious Irish Times magazine. Our model, Rachel g. featured in the very seductive shot - taken earlier this Summer by Barry Murphy.

Thank you to everyone involved in yesterdays (I know a Sunday . . .) shoot for the amazing House of Delphine.

What a day. We begun at dawn and finished long . . . after dusk. Now into post production.

The theme was 1930s and hair was by the very talented Tina O Connor, Aspire, make up by the amazing Kathryn O Neill, styling by Orla @ upfront and photography by the super talented perfectionist Barry Murphy. Designer Delphine and her elegant mom, Christine (who spent over 12 hours ironing the dresses!) were wonderful company all day and night.

Last word of course, to our beautiful upfront model, Aoife H. A pro. I think the images are worth a thousand words.

We are now finalising preparations for the shoot for HOUSE OF DELPHINE on Sunday. The setting is abstract, the theme is 1930s and we know the shoes will also be WOW . . .

Details will also be announced next week on Kerry Fashion Weekends website of KFW 2010. The site is currently off line for re development. Application Form for KFW awards will be posted on line next week also and will include a new Young Designer (18 or under) of the Year Category.

Well done to everyone on todays shoot for well loved tapas bar and restaurant, Sol y Sombre, Killorglin.

The converted church is now a popular choice for weddings - catering up to 120 people.

Barry Murphy photographed and the fabulous bridal gowns were from award winning designer, Delphine (house of Delphine) and Kerrys premier suit hire venue, Chapel Place Tailors, Killarney, County Kerry (chapelplace.ie), who supplied us with bespoke Magee suits. Thanks to Delphine, Christine and Paudie Kenny for all their help.

The production was managed by Upfront and the brochure is now being designed by the very talented Catherine Teahan.

Rachel G and Finn are booked for the Sol y Sombre wedding shoot tomorrow - in the surrounds of the famous and fabulous tapas bar in Killorglin. Pix uploaded later this week.
